ARMENIAN SONG

A lullaby in which a mother addresses a bird, begging it to lull her crying child to sleep with its song. The birds with melodious voices represent church people, renowned for their beautiful singing, but the child is unmoved by religious chant. He will only fall asleep to the martial song of the falcon – the song of battle.
